Surgery postponed

Logan's surgery was supposed to be tomorrow, but it has been postponed until next Tuesday, August 10. Apparently, the surgeon was overbooked, and Logan's surgery is not considered an emergency. A week of time shouldn't make much difference in terms of the tumor's growth.

The surgeon explained that this surgery is less risky than Logan's first one because much of the first tumor was on the brain stem. All of the brain's communication to the body travels through the brain stem, so removing tumor in that area is extra risky. He said that he even had to leave a thin film of tumor tissue on the brain stem last time, for fear of disturbing the brain stem. This time, however, the tumor area is confined to the cerebellum, so he doesn't have to be quite so conservative in removing tissue. Thankfully, there has been no trace of tumor regrowth on the brain stem!

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and encouragement. God is good all the time.
