Logan recovering very quickly!

Praise the Lord! Logan has been recovering beautifully these past two days. He was moved from ICU to a normal room yesterday. His incision is in the middle of the back of his head, so he generally keeps his head turned to one side or the other, to avoid pressure on the incision. We were very surprised this morning when he turned his head from one side to the other all by himself! It took him more than a week to be able to do that after his first surgery. He has been awake most of the day, talking some, making eye contact, and smiling (the best part, even giggling a little when I make faces at him and wiggle my eyes funny!). His hand coordination also is excellent compared with his second day of recovery last time. He also ate quite a bit this afternoon, and kept all the food down! Does God answer prayer or what?

If this keeps up, we may get to take him home before the weekend is over! We should have at least a couple of weeks at home before we have to do anything else. The doctors are suggesting that we try local radiation to the tumor area first, followed by the intensified chemo stuff (opposite order of what they had suggested before). I have to say that the surgeon, the oncologist, and all the other doctors have been very good about communicating to us everything that is going on and answering all of our questions in detail. It is amazing what these people know how to do. Even so, "Who endowed the heart with wisdom, or gave understanding to the mind?" (Job 38:36).
