First radiation

Hello. Some good news for us...wanted to pass it on.

The radiation oncologist said that Logan's radiation plan will be able to avoid his pituitary gland and that there will be almost no dose to his ears. This is excellent news to us, as we were told to possibly expect damage to those areas. He had his first radiation treatment today. The treatments will continue for the next six weeks, once every day (M-F) at 8am. Laura will be able to take Adam with her, since the visits are pretty short.

Logan can recognize the hospital and the parking garage pretty easily now. This morning, he wanted to teach Adam about it, since Adam rarely goes with them. He said, "Look, brudder! There's the hospital! We're gonna take a picture of Logan!" (We haven't bothered to try to explain to him the difference between an MRI and the radiation treatments; in both cases, he has to lie still on a table with big machines all around).

Logan has recovered from his second surgery so well that we can hardly tell that it happened at all! He is running around just like he did a month ago! Thank you for praying! He is receiving small doses of chemo each Monday, but it is small enough that we don't have to restrict his exposure to other people.

What a comfort to know that no matter what happens, our Lord is in control of every detail. "I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine." Psalm 50:11
