Chemo update

Logan is weathering the chemo pretty well. He threw up a few times today, but that is to be expected. Laura will be spending the night with him tonight. She is the expert at knowing how to give Logan exactly what he needs at the right time to keep his food down. I still don't know how she does it.

All the chemo has been given now. They will let him go home as soon as he shows that he can keep liquids down, hopefully tomorrow!

My brother Sid and his wife Tina visited today, with their baby Sidney. Logan took a special interest in the baby, who is seven months old now. The highlight of the day was when Logan spontaneously started hitting Daddy on the head with the big Barney balloon. For some reason, this sent baby Sidney into hysterical cackles, which was a real treat in itself, but it was also good to see Logan enjoying the fact that he could make little Sidney laugh.

Next on the agenda is waiting for the results of the spinal tap (Wednesday at the latest), and a PET scan on Thursday.

Thanks to Pastor and Mrs. Ross for their visit today, and for sharing Psalm 55:22, "Cast your cares on the Lord, and he will sustain you." As also in 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." Too many times I feel like I have to ask for Logan's healing, over and over. I guess there's nothing really wrong with that in itself (Luke 18:7), but I've been neglecting the benefit of simply crying out to the One who cares for me, simply voicing to Him how I'm feeling.

He cares!
