Short break

Hello.

Just a quick update as Logan and I are home on a short pass from the hospital. Logan's WBC count is up. He is no longer 'neutropenic'--meaning, no masks, no isolation, etc. His counts have jumped from 0 to 2 to 400 to 800 to over 1000 in the last 3 days. Also, he didn't have to have a platelet transfusion today as his platelets are coming up on their own now (His doctor had wanted to give a platelet transfusion yesterday but I asked him if he might consider waiting one more day - today. He agreed. That eliminates the possiblity of another series of allergic reactions.) If there is no infection in his lines by Sunday then his doctor has decided that we will be able to go home Monday afternoon!! This will be perfect for me as I will be able to go to my BSF class that night.

I am taking Adam and Logan back to the hospital in a few minutes as soon as I wake them up. This should be pretty interesting keeping Adam from grabbing IV lines--hope I can manage both boys until Knocker can get there from work this evening.

Just wanted to keep everyone informed. Thanks for praying with us.

Laura.
