Fear not

It's hard to write discouraging news, but Logan is not doing very well. He started having problems last Thursday, so his steroid dose was doubled, which seemed to help, but he is still looking worse.

He started having headaches on Thursday, but he rarely said, "Head hurt!" Mostly, he just grunted. And he threw up in the middle of the night. The steroids helped, but today the right side of his face started to look paralyzed. His right eye was dominant just a couple weeks ago, but now it is always closed, and he does what he can with his left eye. He isn't eating all that well, either, and food spills out the right side of his mouth. His speech is very slow and slurred, so that it's difficult to tell even the difference between "yeah," and "no."

It is impossible to know what the little guy is experiencing. He hasn't actually said "head hurt," but the grunting was more common again today. Thankfully, to this day he has never given the least indication that he thinks he is going through something unusual. Please pray for his comfort and peace.

I hesitate to mention specific gifts that we have received, because we are thankful for everything, but today at church Logan's Sunday School class presented us with a beautiful blanket that just immediately made us cry. It has the handprints of all his classmates on it, with their names, and Scripture sewn on the outside border.

Thus says the Lord who created you and He who formed you, "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine...See, I have inscribed you on the palm of my hand." Isaiah 43:1, 49:16

Logan's handprint is in the middle (probably not actually his, since he hasn't been able to go to Sunday School recently, but representative of his), with a cross over it. It's beautiful! I'm crying again! Thank you for such a precious gift!
