StuffMart

It is late so I will be brief. Logan's MRI has been moved to this Thursday, March 2nd at 3pm. I contacted his neuro-surgeon who plans to meet us right after the MRI to review the images. At this point, I will speak with him to see if he is willing to remove the largest and only operable tumor that appears to be pressing down on the brain stem and causing major problems such as loss of swallowing (which was abated by the increased steroids), loss of use of right eye and paralysis on right side of face (this all just happened last Thursday). This would allow us to go up on the antineoplaston dose to a level high enough for tumors to respond, hopefully.

Also, we just found out today that our insurance has started paying for Logan's antineoplaston treatments. This was a very welcome surprise!

Logan has seemed to do a little better in the couple days since Knocker's last update. He (Knocker) jokes that Logan is making a liar out of him. Logan has eaten well (the left side of his mouth is able to chew), is drinking well (although from a baby bottle, since it requires less suction than his sipper cups) and has been alert and "active" (comparatively speaking) for the greater part of the days. He shows an interested spark in people and things around him. For example, today I asked Adam if he wanted to go with me to "StuffMart" (name from VeggieTales we use for Wal-Mart or any big store like it). Logan said, "I want to go to StuffMart with Mommy" (very slow and slurred voice--but strong and unusually understandable). So, we did. He seemed to enjoy himself but was tired out.
